Innā Lillāhi wa Innā Ilayhi Rāj’iun
(From Allāh we once came and to Him we shall return to)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the revered and esteemed Uncle Ahmed who lived to his mid 90’s and was a resolute regular to the Masjid.

Despite his old age and poor health the Uncle was known to be a devout worshiper of Allāh and someone who loved the Masjid dearly. He was renowned to always be seen walking to and from the Masjid with his walking stick, and from those that never missed the congregational Fajr Prayer. It was mentioned that on one occasion he was seen coming to the Masjid with two walking sticks, and on another occasion in heavy snow.

His family mentioned that when the Masjid closed his health to a decline until he returned back to Allāh (subḥānahu wa ta`ālā) yesterday (corresponding 18-Shawwal-1441).

We ask Allāh (subḥānahu wa ta`ālā) to have mercy on him, forgive him all his sins, expand his grave, grant him shade of the Day of Resurrection, and admit him into the highest Jannah without trial or reckoning. Ameen.

📢 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT❗️

Masjid At-Tarbiyah Update:

The UK Government has confirmed that Places of worship across England will be permitted to reopen for individual prayer from Saturday 13th June. Although individual prayer will be permitted, the guidance does not allow for communally led prayer, which is the purpose for the Masjid.

For our community, this means our Masjid will have to remain closed for the five daily congregational prayers and Friday Jumu’ah prayer until further notice.
